When a celebrity’s career is dead or fading fast who do they call? Well, it certainly isn’t Ghostbusters! These days an increasing number of them are falling to the alluring charm of the sex tape. And for good reason.
A celebrity sex tape covers all the bases: sex, celebrity, scandal, sharing of an illicit secret, chance of potential fame or ruin, not to mention drama. Once upon a time talent and hard work alone was enough to propel you towards stardom, or help you maintainthe course. While that is still true, to some extent, it is also the reality that a strategically placed sex tape can revive or jettison your burgeoning career into the stratosphere.
Many fading Hollywood stars, entertainers and models have used this technique to boost their careers. Essentially it is as if pornography has come out of the closet and become the major currency it has always been to furhering your career.
In the past the “casting couch” was a pornographic sexual device of sorts, even if no money was exchanged the intent of delivering a sexual favour in exchange for something that was valuable to you – be it a lucrative film role or other opportunity – follows the same concept.
And, the celebrities involved are not restrictred to being Americans or British acts. The celebrity sex tape phenomena covers all countries including Jamaica where DJ Vybz Kartel has been leaked having sex with Lisa Hyper.
Whatever we think of them they seem to work for those brave or desperate enough to release sex tapes.
