Is Soursop The Cure For Cancer?

Is Soursop The Cure For Cancer?

For years we have been looking for a cure for cancer when it has been available all along right under our noses!

Slowly, this cure has materialised in the form of the guyabano fruit known more popularly as the soursop fruit. This fruit of the graviola tree is being hailed as a miraculous natural cancer cell killer, 10,000 times stronger than destructive chemotherapy. Yet, why aren’t we more aware of it?

Some contend that it’s because select big corporations want to keep it that way to recuperate cost already spent on research trying to make a synthetic version of it for sale. But why bother with a synthetic version when the real thing is there ready and waiting for us to use! Obviously a synthetic version is easier to distribute, dispense and control…

According to Wikipedia the soursop (annona muricata) is a broadleaf flowering evergreen tree native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and northern South America. Soursop is also native to Sub-Saharan Africa countries that lie within the tropics. Today, it is also grown in some areas of Southeast Asia. It is in the same genus as the chirimoya and the same family as the pawpaw.

Depending on your location and culture the source of the raw material, the tree, is called graviola (Portuguese) in Brazil, Brazilian Paw Paw, Corossolier, Guanavana, Toge-Banreisi, Durian benggala, Nangka blanda, and Nangka londa or just the plain name “soursop” in English. The fruit is very large and the subacid sweet white pulp is eaten raw or, more commonly, used to make fruit drinks, sherbets and such.

It has a pulpy, pleasant taste with a flavour best described as a combination of strawberry and pineapple with sour citrus flavour notes contrasting with an underlying creamy flavor reminiscent of coconut or banana. And, it is completely natural and has no side effects.

It’s best kept secret, however, is its cancer curing properties where its anti-tumor properties is attracting the most medical and commercial interest. While medical research continues users have already reported its remedial properties on treating all types of cancers. But its usefulness has not been limited as a remedy to cancer.

It also has a broad spectrum of anti-microbial agents for both bacterial and fungal infections, is effective against internal parasites and worms, lowers high blood pressure and is used for depression, stress and nervous disorders.

All this while still tasting good and costing much less than the price of a jug of beer. The next time you have a fruit juice, ask for a soursop.

Cheers!

Beauty, In The Eyes Of Which Beholder?

Beauty, In The Eyes Of Which Beholder?

Beautiful people come in many packages, shapes, sizes, with and without “fluff”. Some people see the world as a beautiful place and as such they enhance themselves with what the world has to offer. There is nothing wrong with a l…ittle “fluff” if it makes you feel good, and if it enhances the true essence of whom you are. The problem is when all there is is fluff.

Beauty is different things to different people, but one thing is for sure, eventually your true colours come shining through and people will see if your beauty is superficial or genuine. And by that I mean if you are a genuinely beautiful person and not just a physically attractive person.

The sad thing about someone who is lacking in inner beauty is that they believe the hype that physical beauty is what is important in our society. So they get caught up in the desire to look good at all costs, even if it requires surgery to acquire their idea of what is acceptable beauty.

Even after the surgeries and the make up and the hair weaves and the breast implants they are never satisfied and still never feel completely accepted. They fail to realise that before you can appreciate who you are, you have to accept who are the way God made you. We all possess beauty but not all in the same way.

One of the best ways to show your own beauty is to accept people as they are and never put down a person for what they cannot change about themselves. Encourage and up lift them so that they can and will feel secure with who they are and their better qualities will come shining through.

Once upon a time many of the worlds was brainwashed into believe beautiful people only lived on one continent. Thank God our eyes have opened and our minds have realised that beauty comes in so many forms, so many colours and so many cultures.

The world truly is a beautiful place when you look past the flaws.

Your Car Tone Is Ready To Rock!

Your Car Tone Is Ready To Rock!

Forget about mobile phone ringtones; those are just toys for the trendy, urban commandos! Say hello instead to car tones, tomorrow’s hot new kid on the block!

This at least is the idea being developed for drivers of electric cars which are so quiet they could cause problems for pedestrians, particularly blind ones trying to decide the speed and distance of approaching cars.

So car manufacturers have been looking at ways to introduce “artificial noise” to simulate the “car like” noise. This is the basic idea of the car tone! Ingenious car makers have already calculated they could make and market car tones in a manner similar to how mobile phone ring tones are used today. The character and novelty of the car tone could then be limited only by the imagination.

For instance think about James Bond, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Bhangra, Soca or even Dancehall reggae sounds hurtling pass you while you’re out on the road and you’ll get the idea.

But, having car tones is not just to satisfy trendy people’s appetite for such things. Government transport departments in Japan, Britain and the United States are already debating whether they should be complusory given the dangerously quiet nature of electric vehicles.

Besides, they could also find a way of taxing the tones or levying some kind of payment pressure on the vehicles themselves to offset the cost of administration.

And what if other road useres and pedestrians don’t like your choice of car tone? They could cover their ears with music from headphones, of course, or drivers could simply change their car tone. Maybe there will be guidelines on the sound level of these tones so as not to be a nuisance.

Besides the fun element car tones in electric cars is just one of the ways of sexing up the humble electric motor car now widely seen as a key consideration in the fight against pollution and encouraging a greener planet.

The stakes are high but if the relevant parties can get the balance right the sound that has just whizzed past you at 80 km per hour may not only rock your world, but could possibly save it too!

Hollywood Baby Boomers!

Hollywood Baby Boomers!

Another day, another baby from a developing country gets adopted by a Hollywood star!

Don’t blame Angelina Jolie: she didn’t start the trend. There have been quite a few before her whose conviction, passion and humanitarian love have moved them to help a child in impoverished circumstances.

The names of these good Samaritans are growing by the hour: Madonna, Meg Ryan, Emma Thompson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Rosie O’Donnell, Hugh Jackman, Cindy McCain, Diane Keaton, Al Roker, Oscar De La Renta, Mary-Louise Parker, Katherine Heigl & Josh Kelley, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor and wife Eve, Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, Blake Edwards and Julie Andrews, Andre Previn and Mia Farrow, Yul Brenner and wife. And more. Whichever way you look at it adoption fever in Hollywood is all the rage.

Obviously it is chivalrous for those with huge earning power to extend their arms and embrace a needy child. But is this really such a good thing? Are they, in fact, doing more harm than good taking a child out of its natural environment and bringing them up in such riches…

Of course Hollywood stars who act like this actually are working against the grain of what we think we know about them. After all nobody does anything in Hollywood unless they’re being paid or benefitting from it, right? So, one can understand the negativity towards the practice.

The latest star to adopt a baby from a developing country or impoverished background is actress Sandra Bullock. And there she is on the cover of People magazine proudly showing off her new, black baby.

Cue the joy. Or the cynicism…

How To Tell If Your Cell Phone Is Bugged

How To Tell If Your Cell Phone Is Bugged

Love your cute little mobile or cell phone? You may not think it’s cute after hearing this!

Your mobile phone may be used by the authorities to listen to your conversations, even when the phone is switched off!

Using your phone’s built in tracking device the FBI, for instance, can activate the phone’s microphone allowing them to evesdrop on your conversation. The only way around it is to take the battery out. Simply switching the phone off does not stop them listening because the phone could be operated remotely with co-operation from your phone service provider.

Unless you’re a mobster, gangster, terrorist, criminal or even a peace activist you’re not likely to have your phone bugged this way. But it’s good to know what signs to look for to alert you whether your phone is being bugged.

These include:

1) Your battery suddenly seems to be draining quickly or quicker than usual and you haven’t been talking more on the phone. This could suggest it is being used to record conversation. Taking out the battery tends to prevent this.

2) The phone gets hotter than usual between calls. If you have not been using the phone yet it feels warmer than usual, this is definitely a sign it may be used to record your conversation, especially if you haven’t been talking more.

3) Buzzing Noise. Standard GSM phones gives off an intermittent buzzing sound every so often. This is normal. But if you hear a continuous buzzing sound, especially when you’re not using the phone, it could be an indication that your phone is being used as a recording device.

The more sophisticated the phone or the more features the phone has makes it easier for others to track you through your phone. There is freely available software online that can turn your phone into a remote recording device.

For this to work, however, the person doing the monitoring needs to get access to your phone for around 10 minutes. This would enable them to install the software. Once this installation work is done not only can they listen to your calls, they can also track your exact whereabouts too, over the internet too!

Scary, isn’t it?

Ten Reasons Jamaica Will Never Accept Homosexuality

Ten Reasons Jamaica Will Never Accept Homosexuality

(1) Homosexuality is officially an illegal activity in Jamaica and anyone engaging in such acts can (and are) prosecuted. Interestingly, the offence of buggery is covered under Section 76 of Jamaica’s Offences Against the Person Act which outlines that it is illegal even for anal intercourse between a man and a woman in addition to sex between two men.

(2) The island is very steeply religious and practitioners take their religion seriously. There are as many rum bars as there are churches in Jamaica!

(3) Jamaica’s culture is to fire bu’n anything it does not like, agree with or feel is too alien to its own sense of reality.

(4) Homosexuality is still very much regarded as a white man’s activity among most people.

(5) There is a strong, vibrant anti-homosexual culture in the island.

(6) Jamaica is the land of Rastafarianism and fundamental rastas condemn such 'babylon' activities, often citing the bible as justification for its opposition.

(7) Seeing two people of the same sex acting outwardly affectionate with each other enrages the spirit of most Jamaicans. Many can (and do) tolerate the idea of individuals doing whatever they want in the privacy of their own space but not right under their noses!

(8) Jamaicans love their bibles a lot and right there in Leviticus it clearly says: “men shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, that’s an abomination.”

(9) The word “battyman”, the most offensive term for homosexuals, has become a status symbol and certain crowd pleaser among entertainers and politicians alike! Its almost like shorthand for laughing at homosexuality yet interestingly sometimes those laughing the hardest among the crowd are the biggest homosexuals ever!

(10) There are many hypocritical people who because of their positions or status in Jamaican society, cannot or will not come out of the closset with their homosexuality for fear of being harmed in some way, given the prevailing climate against the practice.

Can you think of any other reasons or have you got an alternative view on homosexuality?
